The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, with His truth and love.
The Bible records many of Jesus’ words and Jesus said the following: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
“I and my Father are one”
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
“I am come that they may have life; and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Jesus came to destroy any authority the devil and demons had: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Jesus did this by conquering death; bearing our sins on the cross, dying, and rising back to life. Jesus’ sacrifice showed us the nature of God. Moses asked God to show him His Glory. God showed His goodness and proclaimed His names. Names of God are shepherd, sanctifier, provider, peace, healer. God says if we would turn to Him (leave behind our old life without God and trust fully in Jesus and what He has done for us), God would heal us. God heals all our diseases and forgives all our sins. People have turned away from a loving and merciful creator. Refusing to accept God exists and making other things god, (money, status, ourselves, nature, people, religion etc) is sin and separates us from God. This separates us from His love and life and brings eternal punishment in a place called the lake of fire where there is no goodness. All have rejected God but we are free to turn to God through His Son Jesus. God sent Jesus to be punished in place of us, even though He had never sinned.
Jesus bore our sins, sorrows and sicknesses on the cross so we don’t have to carry them ourselves. Jesus did this willingly, suffering immensely and undeservedly because of His great love for us and because God cherishes every one of us. Jesus was God in the flesh when He was on earth but He walked only as man, as He called himself the Son of man, taking on what is man physically and in the mind. He was tempted of all things by the devil but He never gave in. He used the Word of God against the devil, and those who follow Him can do this too. Jesus was treated and killed horribly. He was whipped and beaten so badly He could not be recognised.
People looked down at Him, yet He was being punished for us. The greatest punishment Jesus endured was that moment of complete separation from His loving Father, from everything that is good, beautiful, perfect and loving. Jesus rose to triumphant life, united with God again, allowing us to be one with God too, if we so choose. God gave His Son Jesus so you could become His son/daughter. Consider that Jesus is God made flesh, that He died bearing our sins and consequences of them.
Believe with your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Proclaim Jesus as your Lord. Call on the name of Jesus and you will be saved. The Greek word “saved” is whole, healed, protected, delivered. Having Jesus is having eternal life which begins when you believe on Jesus. Salvation is a free gift for all, by God’s grace and your faith. Put off your old self and walk in newness of life.
You are adopted as a son/daughter of God, who is your Father. You are given a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. You are made perfect by the sacrifice of Jesus. His Holy Spirit of truth teaches you all things and you can trust in God as your provider. You are taken from darkness to light! If you believe in Jesus Christ you have all the promises of God. To know God’s promises and His will for you, read the Bible, spend time with God. He will teach you how to pray and His Holy Spirit will patiently teach you God’s Word.
Spend time with Christians who believe and practice the Word of God. Believe the Word of God! God’s peace and grace is upon you, and the love, light and life of the Lord Jesus Christ will lead you to leave your old ways and live a life in freedom. You will have eternal life in the family of Father God, the merciful creator of the universe, our Lord, the only and true, living God. Glory to God and Freedom to man!
Once you become a believer, the Spirit of the living God lives in you.
“Believe” in the Bible means to completely trust, have confidence in, be persuaded.
Jesus Christ said “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus also said “Have faith in God. For verily I say to you. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.”
Jesus was asked how to do the works of God. He answered “This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Jesus said “Be not afraid, only believe.”
Jesus said “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He who believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
And Jesus said “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
The above are Jesus’ commandments to His disciples. If you are Jesus’ disciple, you will follow His commandments. Not to earn salvation, but because you are saved by the free gift of grace and tender mercy of God, and for the glory of God. Jesus said to take up your cross and follow Him. In Jesus we can have rest, no longer labouring on our own. Jesus has commanded us to do the works of God and to do them in Christ. We cannot do the works of God by ourselves. We must be in Christ Jesus. We are one with Jesus and the Father as Jesus has given us the very glory of God. Jesus said to let our light shine so people may see our good works and glorify God. If you are sick or in trouble, God has given you the right to command that sickness or trouble to go in the name of Jesus.
You can command healing and restoration into your life and the life of others. Jesus went about doing good because God was with Him. As a believer, God is with you. Now you can go about doing good, preaching the gospel, laying hands on the sick, casting out demons, helping your neighbours and praying for your enemies. Through you God will heal believers and non believers.
The Bible says to pray unceasingly and to give thanks to God. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The mystery of God has been revealed, which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory. Do not be a forgetful hearer, be a doer of the word (the word is in the Bible). No weapon formed against you shall prosper and you are always caused to triumph in Christ. The Bible says to put aside the old man and die to self. It is Christ that lives in you. The Bible says believers have been translated from the power of darkness to the Kingdom of Christ. As Christ is, so are you in this world. You are in this world but not of it.
You have put on the armour of God, resisted the devil and he had fled from you. Pray as often as needed, do not give up, believe that all God’s promises are Yes and Amen. You have been blessed by God with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
With God nothing is impossible. Our God is a good God. God is love and God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. (Read the Bible, everything on this paper is in there). 1 John 1:5, 1 John 4:7 – 1 John 5:5
